New Station Expansion Finished At Station One

During the 2017-18 budget year, the City of Broussard allocated funding to add two additional apparatus bays to Station 1 located on First Street. Additional funding to enhance the project was approved by the membership from the fire department budget. This much needed space will house an off-road brush unit and a 16 foot boat utilized for water rescue that were put into service in 2017, a squad unit, and the fire prevention trailer. The additional space will also serve as home to Broussard’s first fire truck which is currently being restored. The expansion is now complete and equipment has been moved into its new home. We would like to thank everyone involved in helping make this a reality.
