BFD Teams Up With Acadian Hospice and Civil Air Patrol for Flag Retirement
A special thanks to Firefighters Alex Dietlein and Colin Johnson who assisted Saturday, the 25th, with a local flag retirement in Arceneaux Park. These two members were critical in making the event come together and controlling the fire during the ceremony.
Many hundreds of flags were honorable retired in the ceremony which took place with members of the local Civil Air Patrol. Acadian Hospice, who collects flags throughout the year for proper retirement, housed all of the flags and even provided refreshments at the event.
Each organization looks forward to continuing to partner for this worthy cause in the future.
