The city is urging all Broussard residents to sign up to receive personal notifications under the city’s new emergency alert system, LafayetteNOW. This is a partnership with Lafayette Consolidated Government. Residents who signed up for the previous alert system, Blackboard, must sign up for LafayetteNOW to continue to receive messages from the city. With LafayetteNOW, residents have options to get alerts sent to mobile devices by phone call, text message, and email. Please opt in for the City of Broussard group when registering. Notifications would be sent for hurricane/severe weather emergencies, traffic alerts/updates, and law enforcement/public safety incidents, as well as city announcements.
